Dog Boarding and Kennel

Beckman's offers two types of boarding programs:

Board & Train program
(only two dogs accepted)

Luxury Boarding Program
(only one dog accepted/2 if from same household)

Program Pricing

“Once a client, always a client” promise, which means: after you and your dog complete the Six-Session Program or Board/Train Program you are a client for life. This means you can receive: Future dog boarding at a small fee (depending on availability), phone and email support for the life of your dog, or if you are still having issues I will stop by your house for a complimentary session.

Joel keeps the number of dogs at the facility to a minimum so he can spend the maximum about of time training, exercising, socializing and monitoring your dog. This also keeps the risk of aggression and rehearsal of barking to a minimum. Each dog will get up early and start their individual training. They will then socialize followed by more training. By mid-day the dogs are ready for a nap in their individual air conditioned/ heated room. Afternoons and evenings are different each day. If your dog needs socialization they may go to a dog park. If your dog needs to exercise or learn to heel they may go to one of the many hiking trails in the area. Additionally, most dogs can benefit from going to one of the five group/puppy classes that Joel teaches. By evening they are usually ready for bed in their luxury room.

Your dog will stay for 14 days of training. (Other arrangements can be made if you are going on vacation for longer or shorter than 14 days.) We will pick up your dog and have an initial 1 hour session and another 1 hour session when we drop off your dog. As many 1 hour follow up sessions you need until you are completely satisfied are also included.

Beckman's Dog Training is located on over an acre of land in beautiful Ramona California (near Poway). Our main concern is your dog’s health and safety. Each dog has their own large heated and air conditioned room, but they won't be spending much time there because they will be training, exercising, socializing and having fun all day long. We also encourage you to stop by to see your dog's progress ... we guarantee you will be pleased. If you have access to a mac computer or web cam we can set up a demonstration so you can see your dog's progress while at home, work, or on vacation. The facility has a huge rock structure for play and exercise, a large pond for playing, cooling off and water therapy, a 1/2 acre pasture for training and play.

The boarding program was set up based on where we would want to send our own dog. The most important thing is that your dog will be properly trained in a safe fun environment by professionals. The whole property is double fenced and the dogs are always monitored. Your dog will play with Joel’s wonderful, energetic, calm, but assertive doberman (Bosco) who gets along with all dogs and people, and who loves his doggie visitors.

If your dog has had an injury we can do extra water exercises with a full pond, or lower the water and do partial weight bearing water exercises. We also have life vests for small dogs or dogs that aren’t very comfortable in the water.

Boarding is not recommended for puppies and serious aggression cases. The three and six session in-home programs are a more effective way to train the dog and educate the owner.
